Grants for Local Patients

Dedicated to improving the quality of life for local patients fighting cancer.

Who can apply for a grant:

Money is awarded based on need and availability to patients living on the Gulf Coast undergoing cancer treatments.

Grant Guidelines:

Here are some guidelines of services funds may be awarded for: (this is not an all-inclusive list)

Help with copays and deductibles
Home health equipment, groceries, rent, utilities and other living expenses
Transportation expenses

Limitations:

Bras for a Cause Gulf Coast will not consider applications for the following:

Non local patients
This list is not exhaustive and may be updated at any time

Eligibility:

Applicants must be a Gulf Coast local patient fighting cancer. Patients applying for a Bras for a Cause Gulf Coast Grant must sign a Hipaa waiver linked below and provide the grant committee documentation of diagnosis as well as receipts and/or invoices.

Process:

Applications will be received by the grant committee and the Bras for a Cause Gulf Coast Grants Director will review all applications. Applicants will receive notification of the board’s decision within 60 days and grant funds will be distributed within 75 days, if awarded.

Application Deadlines and Timelines:

Applications are accepted November 1- August 31 annually.

Applications will be received by the grant committee and the Bras for a Cause Gulf Coast Grants Director will review all applications. After the evaluation has been completed, recommended applications will be forwarded to the Bras for a Cause Gulf Coast Board of Directors for approval. Applicants will receive notification of the board’s decision within 60 days and grant funds will be distributed within 75 days, if awarded.
